BBBSAZ Holiday Season

This holiday season at BBBSAZ, we were grateful to be able to celebrate with our community in so many amazing ways. Here are a few of the many wonderful things that happened at BBBSAZ last month:

Adopt-A-Family

This year, 24 families had their holiday wishes come true thanks to our Adopt-A-Family program. These families received gifts for all children in the household as well as other necessities like clothes, shoes, bedding, and other household items.

Thank you to all organizations, businesses, and families who chose to Adopt-A-Family through BBBSAZ this year!

Larry Fitzgerald Holiday Party

On Wednesday, December 13th, Larry Fitzgerald hosted some BBBSAZ matches for an awesome holiday gathering. 46 of our matches were hosted by Larry Fitzgerald for dinner and a shopping spree at Going, Going, Gone (Dick’s Sporting Goods outlet). Matches got to take a picture with Larry and every Little received a shopping spree, and the opportunity to shop with Larry himself. A great time was had by all!

Staff Holiday Party

On Wednesday, December 20th, BBBSAZ gathered together in the Thunderbird Charities Community Room to celebrate the holidays as a team. It was a great time to get together and see everyone in person to play games, eat food, and enjoy a fun gift exchange.

Holiday Open House

On Saturday, December 16th, the BBBSAZ Holiday Committee hosted a holiday celebration at our office space. Kids were invited to make crafts including candy cane reindeer, decorate stockings, and create their own ornament. Attendees enjoyed hot chocolate and breakfast, and Santa even came for a visit! Each child left with a few toys courtesy of our Toy Drive Hosts: Live Bearded, Melina Rangel, Levi Conlow, SpinArt Nation Phoenix, Isos Technology, Rob Deziel, and the Real Girlfriends of Scottsdale. This event served 19 families, including 53 kids!

Macy’s Holiday Breakfast

During December, Macy’s SanTan and Macy’s Fashion Square hosted some of our matches to holiday shop! Our matches were treated to breakfast, a holiday craft, and shopping time before the store opened to the public. We are so grateful for Macy’s staff hosting these events and making this a memorable holiday experience!

Thank you so much to our volunteers, staff, and community partners for making all of these events possible! We are so grateful to have such incredible people supporting our mission. We hope everyone’s holiday season was filled with as much joy as ours was!
