On Saturday, September 23rd the Young Professionals Council (YPC) hosted their signature event, Casino Night! More than 100 guests joined the YPC in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona’s Thunderbirds Charities Community Room and Devin Booker Pavilion to have fun and raise funds for BBBSAZ. In total, more than $25,000 was raised in support of BBBSAZ’s one-to-one mentoring programs!
Attendees tried their luck in games of craps, roulette, and blackjack. The three players with the highest chip counts at the end of the evening took home amazing prizes. The night’s big winner, Summer Anderson, took home an in-home casino party from Queen of Hearts Casino Parties. During the event, attendees also had a chance to bid on exclusive silent auction items including date night experiences, fitness packages, and sports memorabilia. They also enjoyed music by Custom Fit DJ, hors d’oeuvres from P.F. Chang’s, beer donated by Huss Brewing Co., and wine donated by GenuWine Arizona. The proceeds from Casino Night will help BBBSAZ continue its mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Casino Night is hosted by BBBSAZ’s Young Professionals Council. The YPC is a diverse group of individuals, aged 18 to 40, who volunteer their time to support BBBSAZ’s many initiatives in the community.
