Tee Up For Kids 2022 was BBBSAZ’s biggest golf event to date! This year’s event consisted of two golf tournaments, both with their own fun and unique aspects. The weekend started off full swing with a tournament at TopGolf Scottsdale on Sunday, May 22nd. 18 teams competed in 2 rounds of golf throughout the morning. During the tournament, participants enjoyed drinks, a rise and shine breakfast, and received awesome swag bags from our sponsors. There was also a raffle with items donated by QuikTrip, Leslie’s Pool Supplies, and the Talking Stick Golf Resort. The day finished off with an awards ceremony, where our top team for the day was crowned. The group, who was from the Fountain Hills High School Golf Team, received a Platinum Membership to Topgolf for their winning scores.
Bright and early Monday, May 23rd, BBBSAZ’s first golf scramble took place at Talking Stick Golf Club. Golfers were treated to breakfast burritos, danishes, and bloody mary samples from Tito’s Handmade Vodka. 27 foursomes spent the day out on the O’odham course. There were many exciting games on the course, including a drone drive and golf ball launcher from Gateway Golf, and a chance to win a Cadillac XT5 from Earnhardt! Our hole sponsors, Cox Charities, Strunk Insurance Group, Happy Camper Insurance, and Good Company RE also brought their ‘A games’ with fun competitions, prizes and swag for the golfers. The event concluded with all of the players gathering for lunch and an awards ceremony. The top foursome of the day came from Nocio!
Tee Up For Kids 2022 brought fun for both serious and recreational golfers. Over two days, a total of over $95,000 was raised in support of BBBSAZ’s mentoring programs.
