Haircutters in the Park

On Sept. 13, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona partnered with Haircutters in the Park to provide free haircuts to Littles and their siblings. The COVID-19 shutdown put a hold on haircuts, having parents resort to either letting their children grow their hair out, or start cutting their hair themselves.

Little Brother Richie’s mom said they had been wanting to get their hair cut for a while, so they were very excited when Haircutters in the Park offered youth in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and their siblings free haircuts. She said the Big Brothers Big Sisters program has been a tremendous help to her child and is grateful for the support the agency and Richie’s Big Sister has provided.

The salon, with multiple locations in the West Valley, provided 22 haircuts to Littles and their families. They plan on offering this opportunity again to both Bigs and Littles as a match activity in spring 2021.

Thank you to Haircutters in the Park for helping our Littles prepare for school and look their best! Learn more about the salon here: https://www.haircp.com/
